How are “Local percentile” and “Trend” derived?
Local percentile ranks a facility’s overall rating against all CMS-certified nursing homes in the same county. A higher percentile means the facility scores better than that share of nearby peers.
Trend plots the overall star rating across the last six published quarters. It is a visual summary of the official rating history — not a separate score. See the methodology page for the full formula and update cadence.
